Hides sign that says "Review more pull requests." Just kidding. I'm interested in learning more about opportunities. What does the project lack that could use some attention?

Ummm, lots of things! What sorts of projects are you interested in working on, or failing that, what skills are you looking to exercise?

I'm learning a lot about Perl and would like to learn more about JavaScript, but I'm unsure where to start in the DW project. There seems to be so much going on.

I think most of the lower effort open issues involve modifying Perl code, JS code, or both. Let me know if there are any that you have your eye on but aren't sure how to get started.

Also, have you looked at Template Toolkit yet? There are several legacy pages that still need converting away from BML. TT isn't very complex, and the online documentation is quite good. The conversion process is fairly well documented on the DW wiki.

I haven't looked at Template Toolkit yet, but this sounds promising. I'm in the middle of another project right now and transitioning to school, but I will put this on my to-do and look into it next week.

Oh sad. I was gonna sign up this week (I was trying to get some other stuff off my plate first, which is why I didn't sign up last week).

I was hoping to have a chat with you about a RESTful API, kinda related to our recent exchange in dw_dev

We can still chat! But I don't have the information on the new API spec - deborah and allen are the ones who have been working on that, and I haven't been in touch with them lately to know what the status is.

I imagine that the new API is in one of two places:

1) Nothing has happened lately because there are other, much more important or interesting things to do; or

2) Things are progressing, but it's kinda slow because the problem is hard.

If it's (1), then maybe I can help out in some way? If it's (2), then possibly not.
